Rome Chamber Music Festival

The Rome Chamber Music Festival is an annual music event which presents five distinct concert programs over a five day period in June. Concerts feature both classical masterworks and contemporary pieces performed by world-renowned musicians. The Festival has played to full houses of chamber music enthusiasts from around the world and has received brilliant reviews every year since it began in 2003. The Festival was founded by the esteemed American violinist Robert McDuffie.

In 2012, the festival will make its debut at the prestigious Palazzo Barberini, a 17th century Palazzo, designed by the great Baroque artists Maderno, Borromini and Bernini, located on the Quirinal Hill, the tallest of Rome's famed seven hills.

About the Festival

Founded in 2003, the Rome Chamber Music Festival is endorsed by the Embassies of the United States of America to Italy and to the Holy See, as well as the City of Rome and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Unique to the Rome Chamber Music Festival is its Master Class program. Conducted by the Festival's participating artists, the program provides instruction to a select number of highly promising students from the United States and Europe. The students who are invited to study with these accomplished artists present their own concerts during the Festival period. Through this unique and enriching experience, the Festival aspires to nurture the next generation of talented artists.
